Peristat is a virtual perimetry device for the diagnosis and screening of glaucoma. Peristat is the online version of the visual field screening test performed in specialized doctor practices. These devices are the standard of care doctors use to diagnose glaucoma routinely. Peristat is an automated digital perimetry test which scans your visual field to create a high-fidelity contrast sensitivity map of your peripheral vision. Peristat’s technology is unique – it transforms your computer into a sophisticated diagnostic station so you can take the test anywhere, anytime.

Peristat has been designed so that everyone, even the computer novice, can take the test independently. The test takes between 2-3 minutes per eye, and does not require anything more than a computer with an Internet browser.

During the test, you will respond to a number of light stimuli which will query areas in your peripheral vision. Each stimulus will have a unique contrast threshold and will analyze the functional status of your optic nerve physiology at pre-specified coordinates. After you are done, the results are stored under your confidential profile, and our doctors and perimetry specialists will review them

within 24 hours. They will send you an email after each testing. When advisable, they may recommend a follow-up with an eye doctor for additional testing.

You can preview the test with our free demo, which is also useful to practice testing. In the demo you are presented with the actual test environment but your results are not stored or analyzed.
